Certificates Now Available with the Combined EA-DAkkS Accreditation Symbol
As of September 1, 2025, the European co-operation for Accreditation (EA) has officially released the combined MLA mark (or “EA-Mark” for short). The EA mark highlights the international recognition of your certification. Within Europe, it also carries a formal obligation for recognition.
As an accredited certification body, we are pleased to inform you that, effective immediately, mdc will use these new combined symbols when issuing certificates for EN ISO 13485 and EN ISO 9001.
What does this mean for you?
For all initial certifications, recertifications, and certification changes relating to EN ISO 9001 and EN ISO 13485, mdc will use the new combined symbol on the issued certificates.
If you would like your existing and currently valid mdc certificates (for EN ISO 9001 or EN ISO 13485) to be updated to display the new combined EA–DAkkS symbol before their next scheduled reissue, we will be pleased to issue replacement certificates upon request. Please note that this early reissue, outside the regular certification cycle, is subject to a fee.
If you have any questions regarding the reissue of your existing certificates or the applicable fees, your mdc contact person will be happy to assist you at any time.
